I have a love-hate relationship with Thanksgiving. Love that it’s all about food. Hate the way my body feels after a big meal of grains, sugars, and dairy.
For years, I just opted out of most of the dishes and stuck to turkey, mashed potatoes, and green beans. But it stinks to feel left out of my favorite holiday traditions like pie, rolls, and stuffing!
However, over the last ten years, as I’ve been cleaning up my diet, I’ve finally collected enough healthier holiday recipes. Now I’m able to eat a big, satisfying Thanksgiving meal without having a stomachache or needing a nap afterward.
