our multi-step process for
Nutrition & Safety
We have a multi-step process for reviewing the quality and composition of the ingredients we put into our products.
Meticulous Sourcing
We work with trusted suppliers who share our vision to nourish babies with the highest quality ingredients. We prioritize whole food ingredients with elevated raising and growing practices, soil screening for heavy metals, and no antibiotics, pesticides, or GMOs.
Material and Production Controls
We require extensive verification from suppliers that their products meet our specifications. Our production facilities adhere to Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards and must maintain SQF Level III, the most rigorous food safety audit.
External Product Testing
Acknowledging unavoidable environmental contamination, we test finished samples from every production run with a third-party lab to ensure that heavy metals never exceed internal limits and U.S. safety regulations. Additionally, our products are tested by the Clean Label Project for pesticides, including glyphosate.

Our products comply with U.S. regulations. When guidelines are absent, we have set our own internal standards, which are inspired by international regulatory and industry standards for heavy metals, in order to be closer to zero. Test results are measured in ppb (parts per billion).

FAQ
-
Heavy metals are naturally occurring in the environment due to decades of pollution and contamination of our waters and soil. As a result, all foods are at risk for some level of heavy metal contamination unless they are highly processed and refined. Heavy metals, which include lead, cadmium, arsenic, and mercury, are found in soil and in the environment and, therefore, in crops such as root vegetables that are grown in soil exposed to heavy metals. Serenity Kids has monitored and worked to minimize the presence of heavy metals in its finished products for years.

When it comes to feeding, we always recommend a wide variety of foods like meat, leafy greens, root vegetables, and more, to help expand the flavor window for your baby and to ensure that there isn’t a sole reliance on foods that could contain higher amounts of heavy metals.
