Supplier Review
We scan and purchase ingredients only from reputable suppliers.
Development Production
Since some ingredients, like vegetables, are more susceptible to absorbing trace amounts of heavy metals, Serenity Kids establishes internal limits for those ingredients and we require that our supplier provides documentation before we accept the ingredients.
Production Review
Serenity Kids tests our products after production of each lot for heavy metal content to ensure that our products are within our targets and test below the Maximum Allowable Dose Levels (MADLs) established by California Proposition 65.
Third Party Testing
Clean Label Project has rigorously tested all our products for over 200 different contaminants including heavy metals, glyphosate, agrochemicals, plastics, and other toxins, and determined that Serenity Kids meets their highest standard.
-
Every ingredient in our products is carefully selected with your baby's health in mind.
-
We’ve developed unmatched quality assurance processes to ensure safety for all.
-
Suppliers conduct testing directly on their soil. Adherence to SQF Level III, the most rigorous food safety audit.
-
Acknowledging unavoidable environmental contamination, we follow a four-step testing process and prioritize natural, minimally processed ingredients.
Testing was performed in compliance with California AB 899 standards. For the latest FDA guidance and information on the health effects of toxic elements on children, please visit this link.

Heavy metals are naturally occurring in the environment due to decades of pollution and contamination of our waters and soil. It’s nearly impossible to have a safe baby food product that is completely free from metals unless it is highly processed and refined.
When it comes to feeding, we always recommend a wide variety of foods like meat, leafy greens, root vegetables, and more, to help expand the flavor window and to ensure that there isn’t a sole reliance on foods that could contain higher amounts of heavy metals.
