These golden, savory pancakes turn our Grass Fed Bison pouch into a breakfast worth waking up for. Think holiday brunch, toddler edition — bite-sized, fluffy, dippable, and nutrient-dense.
Unlike the sugar-bomb flapjacks we all inhaled as kids, this stack is for a foodie in training to help develop their palate, not their sweet tooth. Here's the how-to on these pancakes with power...
INGREDIENTS
-
1 Grass Fed Bison pouch
-
3/4 cup pancake mix (we love Birch Benders Paleo Pancake & Waffle Mix)
-
3–4 Tbsp water (add until batter is just right—not too runny, not too thick)
-
1/4 cup shredded grass-fed cheddar cheese
-
2 scallions, finely chopped (reserve some for garnish)
DIRECTIONS
-
In a medium bowl, mix the pancake mix, Bison pouch, and water until smooth. Fold in the shredded cheddar and scallions.
-
Heat a lightly greased pan over medium-high heat (we used coconut oil).
-
Pour your pancake batter to the desired size and cook until golden on both sides.
-
Let cool slightly before serving. For toddlers, cut pancakes into strips or quarters for easy handling. Garnish with extra scallions if desired.
-
Serve warm as a savory holiday breakfast or lunch. Optional: Greek yogurt for dipping.
Big mornings deserve big nutrition, even when it's toddler-sized! We hope you love these puree-powered pancakes as much as we do. Shop the star ingredient: Grass Fed Bison
