This homemade Double-Turkey Protein Pasta is a fun (and surprisingly easy!) way to turn our Free Range Turkey pouch into soft, nutrient-dense noodles, with an extra boost of savory flavor and protein from our Turkey Bolognese pouch as the sauce!

 

Making pasta dough together can also be a memorable bonding activity. Plus, squishing, rolling, and “helping” cut the noodles gives little ones a sensory-rich, hands-on kitchen moment. However, if you’re short on time (as parents ourselves, we can relate!), you can always use your favorite store-bought noodles instead. You’ll still get the same yummy, nutritious meal in minutes.

INGREDIENTS

For the pasta dough:

    • 1 1/2 cup cassava flour + 1/2 cup almond flour — (or, 2 cups all-purpose flour)
      • plus extra for dusting!
    • 1 large egg
    • 1 Serenity Kids Turkey Pouch

For the sauce:

    • 1 Serenity Kids Turkey Bolognese Pouch
    • (optional) Olive oil
    • (optional) Garlic


DIRECTIONS

  • Make a mound with the flour on a clean counter or in a large bowl and sprinkle in the salt. Create a well in the center, then add the egg and turkey pouch puree.
  • Use a fork to gently whisk the wet ingredients, pulling flour in from the sides until a shaggy dough forms.
  • Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, about 8–10 minutes by hand or 5 minutes in a stand mixer. Add more flour if the dough feels too sticky.
  • Wrap the dough tightly and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • After resting, roll the dough into thin sheets with a pasta roller or rolling pin, then cut into long fettuccine strips.
  • Cook in salted boiling water until tender, about 2–3 minutes.
  • Warm the Turkey Bolognese pouch with a splash of olive oil and garlic (optional), then toss with the freshly cooked pasta.

Serve warm and enjoy a cozy, double-turkey dish perfect for chilly fall days.
