AUSTIN, TX March 4th, 2019 – Serenity Kids, an Austin, Texas-based brand that recently launched nationally in Whole Foods Market, will showcase their eight savory baby food blends of pasture-raised meats, healthy fats, and organic veggies at Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, CA, from March 6 -8th at booth N119.

Serenity Kids’ baby food pouches are the ideal first foods for babies over 6 months because they are inspired by the macronutrients of human breastmilk. With a nutritionally balanced ratio of protein, fats, and carbohydrates, Serenity Kids products supports brain and body development by following the USDA’s dietary guidelines for babies which recommends 30 grams of fat per day.

“Upon learning how much fat babies need, I was so surprised at the lack of healthy fats and complete absence of clean meats in the baby food aisle, which was echoed by feedback we heard from parents,” said Serenity Kids co-founder, CEO, and new mother herself, Serenity Carr. “We are on a mission to transform the baby food industry into something better for babies and are so excited to be able to bring our products to you at your local Whole Foods Market!”

Along with their launch into retail, the innovative baby food brand has sold more than 38,000 pouches online since August of 2018 and recently added five new flavors to the mix. The new salmon flavor was created due to the high demand by surveyed parents for a pouched baby food high in omega-3 fatty acid content which is beneficial for baby’s brain development. Furthermore, the new organic savory veggies line is enhanced by healthy fats, rather than fruit. The full line includes the following:

  • Grass Fed Beef with Organic Sweet Potato and Kale
  • Free Range Chicken with Organic Peas and Carrots
  • Pastured Uncured Bacon with Organic Butternut Squash and Kale
  • Wild Caught Coho Salmon with Organic Butternut Squash and Beet
  • Organic Veggies & Healthy Fats Line
    • Organic Roots with Olive Oil
    • Organic Squashes with Olive Oil
    • Organic Butternut Squash and Spinach with Avocado Oil
    • Organic Sweet Potato and Spinach with Avocado Oil

Founders Serenity and Joe Carr, along with their baby Della, will be sampling up a variety of their nutritious and delicious baby food products at Booth N119 at Expo West. All event attendees are encouraged to stop by!

Meat Baby Food: When Can Babies Eat Meat?

As co-owner of a Paleo, meat-based baby food company, people ask me all the time when they can start feeding their baby meat. The question makes sense. It would take days to eat a steak if you didn’t have teeth. I often get puzzled looks when I say meat is an ideal first food.
