How to Make Chicken Bone Broth

How to Make Chicken Bone Broth
Estimated time to read 1 minutes

It’s no secret that we love bone broth around here and it’s actually pretty easy to make. It’s great at boosting the immune system and studies have shown that it can even help improve sleep. Watch this recipe video to see how Serenity makes chicken bone broth in her Instant Pot at lightning speed!

Ingredients

2 gallon ziplock bags of chicken bones
5 organic chicken feet
3 stalks of celery
2 carrots
1 onion
3 garlic cloves
1 bay leaves
1/4 cup fish sauce
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Water

Instructions

1. Cut all the veggies into chunks, 1 to 2 in. pieces.

2. Place all ingredients in instant pot and fill with water to fill line.

3.  Seal and pressure cook for 60 minutes.

4. Release pressure and strain.

5. Store in mason jars in fridge or freezer.

Pro tip: Add more water, apple cider vinegar, and fish sauce to bones and veggies and pressure cook again! This second batch will be a little weaker so I recommend mixing half of the first batch with half of the second. It's a little messy - but it works!

You can serve to baby in a bottle or a toddler in a sippy cup. You can also use bone broth to cook with in dishes like gluten-free noodles, soups, curries, or even as a substitute liquid for pancakes!
